The community of Indian Church Village in the Orange Walk District of Belize is requesting assistance in starting a small agricultural cooperative. Twelve local farmers have obtained thirteen acres of land in order to grow habanero peppers and onions commercially. These farmers need assistance in obtaining an irrigation system before they can successfully cultivate this land. The main objective of this [http://goo.gl/LRCVwcentury 21 broker properti jual beli sewa rumah Indonesia] cooperative is to increase the annual income of the twelve Indian Church families involved in the project by collectively earning the estimated net per acre of habanero and onion that was set forth by The Belizean Department of Agriculture. To accomplish this goal the cooperative will work with The Department of Agriculture to install an irrigation system and plant two acres of habanero and two acres of onion. The income generated from this initial crop, along with the skills and knowledge that the farmers will gain by working with the Department, will allow for an increase in agricultural production in the future. The secondary objective is that as the income and know-how increases more families will benefit, either directly by earning money in agriculture production or indirectly by expanding their diet because of the increase in nutritious vegetables available in the Village. The project is [http://www.peacecorpswiki.org/Staff_consultantscentury 21 broker properti jual beli sewa rumah Indonesia] meant to encourage nutritional awareness for the entire community and expand the local diet to include more fresh vegetables. This project is also the beginning of what should be a fruitful relationship between The Department of Agriculture and Indian Church farmers. The twelve farmers in this project will be working extensively with the Department of Agriculture to learn the skills needed to grow habaneros and onions successfully. These twelve farmers will then share their new skills with other local farmers and eventually expand production to other vegetables, with the continued assistance of the Department of Agriculture.

In a school in Azerbaijan, the teachers and talented students are working hard to become part of the world community in this information age. They purchased nine new computers in 2008, sent their teachers for computer training, and have an information technology teacher who is teaching the students computer skills. It is projected that internet access will become available by the end of 2009.

In the meantime, knowledge and opportunities are lost for both the students and the local community. Teachers and students are not aware of the educational opportunities that are available to them, and the community is not aware of the opportunities and programs which are available for economic development.

This project aims to facilitate the purchase of two internet access mobile telephones and a scanner/printer so that the school and the community can have immediate access to both receiving and transmitting information and utilize the skills they have already developed.

The school director and the volunteer will develop a protocol for the use of this equipment, which will benefit 40 teachers, 352 students, and countless community members.
