The wedding service was a civil ceramoy attended by members of both their families, many Peace Corps volunteers from around Guatmala, and many residents of Comalapa.  Both Peter and Estela moved to East Lansing, Michigan where he began graduate studies in the interdisciplinary area of Plant Breeding and Genetics from which he received his masters degree (finally) in May 1998.
