|project=Ukraine Employment Resource Center
The aim of this project is to prepare young people to search for and obtain better jobs by providing them with strong computer skills. Participants live in a Ukranian city that lacks employment opportunities. Most students attend classes through the 9th grade and further educational opportunites are limited to the community's technical school. Learning computer and job-seeking skills is therefore extremely important.
Development of computer skills and the ability to search for jobs will have a positive impact on the unemployment situation and future lives of youth in this city. Unemployment for youth is a serious problem, especially in outlying or rural areas. If this project is not implemented, many more young people will lack the skills necessary to enter today's high technology work environment.
The community contribution to this project includes a resource center facility and furniture, four of the ten computers needed, trained staff and ongoing training of students and instructors to ensure the program's sustainability.
