My job was District Census Superintendent for the 1976 census upon which England would base their aid to their former Protectorate. It was incredable to spend a year and a half hiking through Malaita, Ontong Java, Sikiana and Ndai Island trying to locate villages and do head counts with my two very close Solomon Islander friends Leslie Kisita and Sadius Sakunu. I will never forget the times we had and the places and things we've seen - like the "Truth Stone".
